Megadeth in Oslo

Megadeth - 14.02.05 - Oslo, Norway

It isn't more then a year since Megadeth released their latest Opus, "The system has failed". When they announced that they were coming to Oslo, I understood that this was maybe a once in a lifetime chance. Thanks to a very helpful concert arranger, a got hold of a ticket and was on my way. The concert was going to take place at Rockefeller that can hold 1350 people. This was the perfect place for Megadeth.

The 80's legends Diamond Head , played as support. This was a raging show that blew the entire audience away. They played a great set with songs from several of their albums. Of course their big hit "Am I Evil" made the entire room go wild. The band was in great shape and provided the crowd with one burning hot number after the other. Diamond Head delivered a concert that people will be talking about for a long time. They are maybe evil, but they're certainly not bad.

After a break for about half an hour, the stage was ready to take on the American thrash metalers from Megadeth. Dave Mustaine and his band mates were in a good mood and played one great song after another. Seeing that it is Megadeth we're talking about, it shouldn't be such a big surprise that the songs were great, but it was the way they were played that was so mind blowing. Every song from beginning to end was done with absolute perfection. Mr. Mustaine's vocals were as good as I remembered it and the guitar playing was excellent through the entire performance.

This was a great night for metal in Oslo and Norway
